About this calculator
Enter the wall size, roll size and pattern repeat.
How to use it
- Enter the total wall width and height.
- Enter the roll length and width.
- Enter the pattern repeat, or 0.
The formula
Strips = wall width ÷ roll width; rolls = strips ÷ strips per roll
- strip length
- wall height + 10 cm, rounded up to the pattern repeat
Worked example
A 20 ft wide, 10 ft high wall, rolls of 10 m × 53 cm
- Strips = 6.10 ÷ 0.53 = 12.
- Each strip 3.15 m, 3 per roll: 4 rolls.
What the result means
Large pattern repeats waste more paper.
Assumptions
- Standard rolls.
Limitations
- Deduct large windows only if the strip can be skipped.
