About this calculator
Choose a standard grade, or enter your own ratio such as 1:2:4.
How to use it
- Enter the concrete volume.
- Choose a grade or enter a ratio.
- Read the quantities.
The formula
Each material = dry volume × its share of the ratio; dry volume = wet × 1.54
- brass
- 100 cubic feet
- 1 m³
- 35.31 cft
Worked example
1 m³ of M20
- Dry volume = 1.54 m³.
- Cement = 1.54 × 1/5.5 = 0.28 m³ = 8.06 bags (403 kg).
- Sand 0.42 m³ (14.8 cft); aggregate 0.84 m³ (29.7 cft).
What the result means
Add 3% to 5% for wastage and spillage.
Assumptions
- Volume batching.
Limitations
- Weights of sand and aggregate depend on moisture and type.
