How to use it
- Choose monthly or yearly salary and enter it.
- Enter hours per day and days per week.
- Read the hourly and daily rate.
The formula
Hourly rate = yearly salary ÷ (hours per day × days per week × 52)
- yearly salary
- monthly salary × 12, or the yearly figure
- 52
- weeks in a year
Worked example
₹50,000 a month, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week
- Yearly salary = ₹6,00,000.
- Hours a year = 8 × 5 × 52 = 2,080.
- Hourly rate = 6,00,000 ÷ 2,080 = ₹288.46.
