About this calculator
Enter the hourly rate, hours per day and working days per week. A year is taken as 52 weeks, and a month as one-twelfth of a year.
How to use it
- Enter your hourly rate.
- Enter hours per day and days per week.
- Read the pay for each period.
The formula
Yearly pay = hourly rate × hours per day × days per week × 52
- hourly rate
- pay for one hour
- 52
- weeks in a year
Worked example
₹250 an hour, 8 hours a day, 6 days a week
- Weekly = 250 × 8 × 6 = ₹12,000.
- Yearly = 12,000 × 52 = ₹6,24,000.
- Monthly = 6,24,000 ÷ 12 = ₹52,000.
What the result means
Unpaid leave, holidays and gaps between projects reduce real earnings. Freelancers often price higher to cover them.
Assumptions
- You work the same hours every week of the year.
Limitations
- Tax, PF and other deductions are not included.
