About this calculator
Choose home or gold, enter the loan and the value, and see the LTV, the applicable limit and the most you could borrow.
How to use it
- Choose home or gold.
- Enter the loan amount and the value.
- Read the LTV and the RBI limit.
The formula
- loan amount
- what you borrow
- value
- property value, or appraised value of gold
Worked example
₹40 lakh loan on a ₹50 lakh home
- LTV = 40 ÷ 50 × 100 = 80%.
- For a loan of ₹30–75 lakh the limit is 80%, so it is within the limit.
What the result means
A lower LTV usually means a better rate and easier approval.
Assumptions
- RBI limits as in force in October 2026.
Limitations
- Lenders may set lower limits of their own.
